M. Ed.
When I was a young student, I remember thinking I learned in a “different” way from most of my peers. I would memorize history lessons by singing pages of notes and think of a traditional math algorithm in a very different way than how it was being taught. I would study best laying on the floor, not sitting at a table. It wasn’t until I attended graduate school to become an educator myself, that I understood my unique learning process. My belief is that all students, regardless of the challenges they face, have the capacity to experience great success. It is my job to identify how they learn best and empower them to reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
I received my M. Ed from Bank Street College in NYC. For the last 13 years, I have worked as a teacher, tutor, learning specialist, and educational consultant. My masters program along with my undergraduate degree in psychology and ballet, have shaped who I am and how I work with my students.
